Cause for paws picture

Being held at the "Cause For Paws" Wine Tasting event. Sponsored by The Great Outdoors Restaurant. The Great Outdoors is normally closed on Mondays but will be open on Monday, Oct. 16th as a special, private event. Being held downstairs, on the Patio anytime between 5 pm and 8 pm


This wine Tasting event will feature this continuously running slide show on the big screen, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 pm.

Titled, “Photos Of Attendee's Loving Rescued Pets,” There are no categories. Animal loving attendees will vote for their favorite rescued pet's picture. Pictures of any type loving rescued pet can be entered: Cats, Dogs, Horses, Monkeys, Rabbits, Reptiles, Birds, etc. Each rescued pet will be assigned a unique number that will appear on their projected slide. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Three winning caregivers and the three winning rescued pets will all receive prizes.


We will have volunteers circulating throughout the event encouraging people to vote.


There will be a ballot box and ballots near the screen. Attendees fill out the ballot and print their name and slide number of their favorite rescued pet and tell us why it was their favorite. Votes go into the sealed ballot box. At the event's conclusion, the ballots will be tallied to tell us the most voted picture, second most voted picture and third most voted picture. Prizes will then be awarded.


If your picture is one of the three winners, a purchased ticket, or a donation in your name, must be in our database. The 1st place (Most Votes) rescue's caregiver will get 6 bottles of wine of their choice. 3 bottles to 2nd place winner and one bottle to 3rd place winner. The winning rescued pets will receive valuable surprise gifts and ribbons. If you're the 1st place winner, and you earmarked a rescue facility on your payment, your facility will get $1 added to their event proceeds for every animal picture entered. For example, if 500 pictures were entered, we will give your earmarked facility an additional $500.

Winners do NOT have to be present to win


  1. Participants who make donations and cannot attend, can still enter the contest. Donations go into the Charity's General Fund to be distributed to qualifying rescue organizations.

  2. To enter the contest and prior to sending us the picture(s), participants must have already purchased a tax deductible ticket to the event, or made a donation so we can register the slide number(s) into the participant's contact information. Participants can be purchase tickets or make a donation by clicking on one of the red buttons below.

  3. Participants can enter up to four different rescued pets but only one picture is allowed per rescue.  The picture can be just of a rescued pet or multiple pets in the same picture, or it can also contain the rescued pet(s) and its caregiver(s).

  4. Each picture you enter must be a rescue(s). In your submission, please tell us the pet's name(s), and your name  - as listed on your ticket purchase.

  5. Email us each rescued pet picture in a .jpg or .gif format.

  6. Send your pictures to,  Upon receipt, we will create a slide and give each slide a number and list the rescued pet's name(s) and the ticket purchaser's name. We will then locate the ticket holder's or donor's information in our database and contact him or her to give them the assigned slide number(s).

  7. Pictures will be projected continuously from 5pm to 8pm, in random slide number order, for about 10 seconds per slide.

  8. To enter, your pictures must be received before Wednesday, October 11, 2017 - 12 midnight.

This only one of many contests. The eight wines you'll be tasting at this event are all premium and the wine pairing food will all be Chef Taylor's choice selections. So, whether you enter rescues or not, this will be one fun-filled, first class wine tasting event you won't want to miss. We look forward to seeing you.
